The Heavenly Asharan Temple of the Enlightened Path also known as Hatep or the Temple to Asharans; is the official religious organization and ruling body of the Khadahari Hegemony and those within the Heavenly Asharan Co-Prosperity Sphere. The Temple is new in terms of the Asharan religion follows the teachings of the Enlightened Path of Ashar and was founded by Arkhan Visarion, it's the first Illuminarch. By many outside of the influence of the Zuetar Dominion, the temple is heresy and not legitimate however a growing number of Asharans are beginning to flock to the region to join and even more are being converted in their home countries and spreading the message of the Temple to those around them. This has caused an ever-growing schism in Asharan communities around the known world and is beginning to be proven to be a problem for the countries that host a sizable Asharan population.

Cosmology[edit | edit source]

The Supreme Being, Lord of Light, has always been around and always will be around. The Earth was created by the demiurge and humans were an immortal species named the Etherals. However, greed began to taint the hearts of men and war broke out between the immortal beings. The Lord of Light, in punishment for the Etherals arrogance, stripped them of their heavenly powers and made Earth a testing ground on whether they could achieve paradise once again. A very select few of humans have maintained this Etheral status but are forced to reincarnate until perfection is reached on the planet.

Holy Book[edit | edit source]

The Hymns of Light, a book written by the founder of the religion, Azar and inspired by the Lord of Light himself. The book is composed of exactly 342 Songs, each one containing tales, stories, teachings, mythology, moral lessons, advice, preachings, allegories, etc. written in prose, verse and even some of them in lyrical form.

It was the first book to be published and distributed when the print was invented in Tovakizar and it is currently one of the most translated books ever. For an Asharan, the Hymns are a holy book and very important to the point that it is a crime to burn, damage or alter the contents of the book in any way whatsoever.
