Kishar's Rebellion, also known as the First Celestial Revolution to those within in the Celestial Hegemony was a devastating rebellion or total civil war in Tovakizar against the established Morekar dynasty. The rebellion overtly began 1106, when priestess Kishar declared herself the next Prophet of Ashar in North Eastern Tovakizar, thus establishing a rival Second Hegemony, and ended when the city of Kishara fell in 1120 (although the effects lasted past this).

The rebellion spanned the reigns of three Morekar emperors before it was finally quashed, and involved a wide range of regional powers; besides the Morekar dynasty loyalists such as the Seresian Imperium and the Rajat Empire. Others involved were anti-Morekar families, especially in Kishar's base area in Angarash, and Kushari, Rong and Asharan Seresian forces. The rebellion and subsequent disorder resulted in a huge loss of life and large-scale destruction. It significantly weakened the Morekar dynasty and led to the loss of the Western Regions.

The Second Hegemony was an oppositional state based in Angarash with an Asharan millenarian agenda to initiate a major transformation of society. A self-proclaimed prophet of Ashar, Kishar led an army that controlled a significant part of northern Tovakizar during the middle of the 19th century, eventually expanding to command a population base of nearly 30 million people.

Devolving into total war—with any and all civilian-associated resources and infrastructure as legitimate military targets—the conflict was the largest in Tovakizar since the Azar conquest in 476 BC, and it also ranks as one of the bloodiest wars in history, the bloodiest civil war, and the largest conflict of the 19th century, with an estimated 30 million dead and millions more displaced.
